IPS Supported Employment helps people with mental health issues at regular jobs of their choosing. This is an evidence-based practice with the following principles:

  • Focuses on clients strengths
  • Work can promote recovery and wellness
  • Works with State Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Uses a multidisciplinary team approach
  • Services are individualized and long-lasting
  • The IPS approach changes the way mental health services are delivered
  • Moultrie County Counseling Center's Program began December 1, 2013, with one Employment Specialist serving our clientele. Since this time we have served over 40 clients. We achieved the following milestones in the first year of the program:

  • 23 individuals have reached 15 day milestones
  • 14 individuals have reached 45 day milestones
  • 8 individuals have reached 90 day milestones

  • Our clients obtain competitive jobs with wages ranging from $8.25 to $17.86 per hour.
